Watch: UNC survives against Appalachian State, Mack Brown dances

College football is back. And with it comes the return of the Mack Brown victory dance.

Brown and the North Carolina Tarheels escaped with a 63-61 victory over the Appalachian State Mountaineers Saturday, improving to 2-0 on the young season.

Afterward, Brown did his infamous jig in the locker room, much to the delight of his players.

On Saturday, North Carolina and Appalachian State combined for 68 first downs and over 1,000 yards of total offense.

Surprisingly, each team turned the ball over just once in such a high-octane offensive shootout.

Tarheels quarterback Drake Maye led the way, finishing 24-of-36 for 352 yards and four touchdowns. Freshman Kobe Paysour was Maye's favorite target, hauling in eight receptions for 92 yards and a score.

North Carolina knocked off Florida A&M, 56-24, last week. They'll look to improve to 3-0 next week when they travel to take on Georgia State.
