NC State battled back in an exciting 2nd Half in Raleigh to defeat Virginia Tech, 22-21. True freshman MJ Morris was the spark for the Wolfpack, completing 20 of 29 passing for 265 yards and 3 touchdowns. Wide receiver Thayer Thomas caught 10 passes for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win. Hokies quarterback Grant Wells threw for 243 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 2 more touchdowns, but the Hokies fell just short.
