First game week for the Wisconsin Badger 2022-2023 campaign started with some sad news today.

Backup quarterback Chase Wolf’s season is done after tearing his meniscus.

The senior quarterback appeared in just four games last year, but in 2020 we saw his importance to this team with his play in tough circumstances against Minnesota.

New Backup?

With the injury to Wolf, this makes way for either Deacon Hill or Myles Burkett battling for the No. 2 spot. The reps they will get with the No. 2’s will be intriguing to see which one steps up. Hill should have the upper hand as of now over the true freshman Burkett. Hill has a rocket for an arm, but struggles with his decision making and accuracy at times. There was some hype for Hill coming out of high school as a four-star recruit. Either way, this time will be good for both of them in development.
