Saturday's game between Arizona State and Cal has been canceled because the Sun Devils no longer have the minimum number of available scholarship players due to the coronavirus.
Head coach Herm Edwards is among the people within the Arizona State organization to test positive for COVID-19. Multiple unnamed players also have tested positive.

In his statement to the school, Edwards encouraged students and their families to take the virus more seriously as cases continue to rise across the country.
The ASU-Cal game has been in jeopardy all week. Cal was without its entire defensive line following contact tracing stemming from one positive test last week. Cal's season opener was canceled last week and it's unclear if they would have been able to play this week.
