Cincinnati Football Adds Louisville Transfer Safety
USA TODAY Sports

UC football announced all of the 2024 spring transfers this week and had a surprise name show up in former Louisville safety Josh Minkins.

The incoming senior was committed as a transfer to West Virginia but recently de-committed and is now back with his old head coach, Scott Satterfield.

Minkins notched 21 tackles last season across 227 snaps in eight games.

It amounted to a 51.3 overalll PFF grade. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound safety has yet to eclipse a 62 grade in his career. He mostly played free safety last season with a little bit of slot corner time mixed in.

Cincinnati is currently ranked 33rd on the 247Sports team transfer rankings with Minkins yet to be added as of this writing.
