Dan Mullen is in his first year as head coach at UNLV and is loving it.
The program is off to a 6-0 start and is at the top of the Mountain West conference going into Saturday's game against Boise State. A win over Boise State would get UNLV to 7-0 and potentially a spot in the next AP top 25 poll.
Because of Mullen's success thus far, his name has been connected to some Power Four jobs that have opened up in recent weeks, including Arkansas. Arkansas fired head coach Sam Pittman on Sept. 28 following a 56-13 loss against Notre Dame on Sept. 27. Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino is the interim head coach for the rest of the season.
Mullen took to his personal Twitter/X account to squash the rumors of him leaving for Arkansas, saying that he has "0.0" interest in the job. He even wants the school to go after Gus Malzahn.
"0.0 interest in Arkansas. Thanks for the shout out though. Y’all need to hire Gus Malzahn," Mullen posted in Arkansas Twitter community.

He's content coaching UNLV and focused on leading the program to a Mountain West title. This is his first season as a college head coach since 2021, his final season at Florida. He spent four seasons at Florida, compiling a 34-15 record. Before that, he was at Mississippi State for nine seasons, finishing with a 69-46 record.
Arkansas will have to look elsewhere in its search for a new head coach. Pittman was in his sixth season as head coach before he got the pink slip.
As for Mullen, his program will play Boise State on the road on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
