Former Washington State quarterback Cam Ward plans to enter the transfer portal and, in doing so, will quickly became one of the best quarterbacks available.

Ward threw for 3,732 yards and 25 touchdowns for the Cougars this season while only throwing seven interceptions.

Ward ran for 122 yards and eight touchdowns but was sacked 39 times for a total loss of 260 yards, which hurt his rushing numbers, but he can run the football.

He had eight rushing touchdowns this season for Washington State.

Auburn has quickly become a name associated with Ward, as he would be a perfect fit for Hugh Freeze's system.

It is being reported that a NIL deal of over a million dollars is what it will take to land Ward, so he will not be a cheap addition to whatever schools he transfers to.

When the portal opens in the coming days, expect Auburn to be a name associated with Ward as he looks for a new home.

If Coach Freeze and company were able to land Ward, the outlook for Auburn's 2024 season would get a lot better very fast.

Transfer portal time is almost among us, meaning a lot of new faces will be on the Plains very soon.
