Heisman candidate Justin Herbert has injury scare on collision with Auburn defender
Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

With just over six minutes remaining in Saturday night’s game between Oregon and Auburn, senior quarterback Justin Herbert went down with a knee injury.

Herbert had just delivered a pass when linebacker Owen Pappoe hit him, and their knees collided. The quarterback stayed on the ground for a couple of minutes and was attended to by a trainer before finally coming off the field under his own power.

Thankfully, he appeared to be OK and quickly returned to the game. However, the Oregon bench was certainly experiencing a bit of panic initially as the Heisman candidate lay on the turf holding his knee.
