College football is like religion. It's certainly created enough zealots. Just ask the LSU Tigers, or rather, LSU's police department.
A video coming out of Baton Rouge on Monday shows a man on the ground in handcuffs. His crime? Apparently, he tried to break into LSU's Tigers Stadium.
That, of course, is not completely out of the blue. Fans are always wanting to get closer to the action. Even being at a stadium without a game happening can be a cool experience. There's a reason Lambeau Field, which hosts the Green Bay Packers, is a football mecca of sorts. It's just cool to be at a place with so many memories of sports history.
If that was the reason this "fan" broke into LSU's field it would almost be excusable. At the very least, it would make sense.
The reason he reportedly gave, though? Well, let's just say Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson may have a thing or two to say about it.
LSU PD arrested a suspect at Tiger Stadium. Eyewitnesses say he tried to break in, claimed he’s the reason LSU won the 2019 National Championship, and threatened police officers. This is a developing story. pic.twitter.com/wOiZmQQrJc

Maybe the trespasser is really Ed Orgeron in disguise.
