Nevada pulled off the best comeback of the college football season so far.

The Wolf Pack beat Purdue 34-31 on Friday night thanks to a 56-yard field goal from freshman kicker Brandon Talton as time expired.

There were so many incredible, improbable aspects of the comeback.

Nevada was down 24-7 at the half and 31-14 late in the third quarter. The Wolf Pack began a drive down 31-24 from their 13 with 3:32 left and scored to tie it with 52 seconds left. Then they got an interception on the second play of Purdue’s possession, but a penalty put them back at their 34. They still moved to the Purdue 39 and set up for a field goal. Jeff Brohm tried to ice Talton, but the move backfired and the freshman made the kick to win the game.

What a finish.
