Ohio State vs. Penn State Player Props to Consider

Player props are not legal in the state of Ohio, but if you're elsewhere, you might be able to find options at a daily fantasy site under the guise of going higher or lower. It's not uncommon for matchups with projected blowouts to not feature player props.

Here are player props that we found that we like.

  • Nicholas Singleton anytime TD scorer (+105)
  • Will Howard first TD scorer (+1100)
  • TreVeyon Henderson UNDER 48.5 rushing yards (-114)
  • Julian Fleming UNDER 16.5 receiving yards (-114)

Ohio State vs. Penn State Betting Prediction and Pick

Will Howard has amassed 1,795 passing yards, throwing for 17 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with an impressive completion rate of 74%. Quinshon Judkins leads the team in rushing with 520 yards and 6 touchdowns, while TreVeyon Henderson follows closely with 449 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns.

Jeremiah Smith stands out in the receiving department with 35 receptions for a team-high of 623 yards and 8 touchdowns, while Emeka Egbuka has recorded 43 catches for 546 yards and 6 touchdowns. Carnell Tate has also contributed with 19 receptions totaling 334 yards and 2 touchdowns this season.

Defensively, Sonny Styles has made the most tackles with 43, JT Tuimoloau leads in sacks with 4, and Denzel Burke has secured 2 interceptions. Collectively, Ohio State's defense has tallied 20 sacks and 5 interceptions throughout the season.

For Penn State, Drew Allar has thrown for 1,640 yards, registering 12 touchdowns and 4 interceptions with a completion percentage of 71.3%. Beau Pribula has added 200 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception on a completion rate of 78.3%.

In the rushing game, Nicholas Singleton has rushed for 483 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Kaytron Allen has recorded 509 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns. Tyler Warren leads the receiving corps with 47 catches for 559 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Harrison Wallace III has contributed with 350 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.

Two other players have over 200 receiving yards, and another two have exceeded 100 receiving yards. Defensively, Jaylen Reed has a team-high of 44 total tackles and 2 interceptions, while Abdul Carter leads with 4 sacks. As a unit, Penn State's defense has accumulated 14 sacks and 6 interceptions this season.

I'm backing Penn State in this matchup. Although I'm not entirely confident in their quarterback situation, I believe they can find a way to challenge an Ohio State offense that seems to be struggling.

While James Franklin has had his ups and downs in critical games as Penn State's head coach, Ryan Day has faced his own challenges in these high-pressure situations. I’ll take the Nittany Lions to cover the spread.

Ohio State vs. Penn State Prediction: Penn State +3.5
