As the season continues to inch closer, head coach Mike Elko and his staff continue to dominate the 2026 recruiting class.
The Aggies currently find themselves in sole possession of the No. 5 2026 recruiting class in the nation, as Texas A&M has continued to acquire talent on both sides of the ball. Key additions like WR Aaron Gregory and RB Jonathan Hatton Jr. will prove to be major offensive factors for A&M, as the team will now turn their attention towards improving the future of the offensive line.
Immanuel Iheanacho, a five star plus offensive tackle from the 2026 class, announced his top seven schools earlier this week, naming Texas A&M as a finalist. The Baltimore native is expected to take his time weighing his options, as the OT has offers from other powerhouse programs such as Alabama, LSU, Penn State, Oregon, Maryland and Auburn. The five star plus recruit has taken several visits to Texas A&M, including an unofficial visit as recent as last weekend. It has been reported, however, that Iheanacho’s home town school Maryland is currently the favorite to land the future star. According to 247sports, Iheanacho is currently ranked as the 11th ranked prospect, the 4th ranked offensive tackle, and the 2nd ranked overall prospect in the state of Maryland.
The addition of an offensive tackle of Iheanacho’s caliber could prove to be a major pickup for the Aggies, as the majority of the Aggies current offensive line are seniors entering their final season.
