Why Jalen Milroe was apologizing to Alabama wide receivers during LSU game

Jalen Milroe felt he had to apologize to Alabama football’s wide receivers during the LSU game.

The Alabama quarterback ran through the Tigers defense en route to the Tide securing a 42-13 victory. He rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries. His success on the ground limited the opportunity for Alabama’s wide receivers to shine, and he felt he needed to let them know he was still trying to get them to the football.

The Tide’s freshman wide receiver, Ryan Williams expressed his reaction to Milroe’s apology on Tuesday.

“He is a baller,” Williams said. “He is a dog. That’s all I can say. We on the sideline, he like, I’m sorry y’all trying to get, I’m like, bro, look at your stats. We don’t care. We winning. Like, so, you We just proud and happy for him and glad to be a part of his team.”

Alabama will be back in action against Mercer Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium.
