Adil Rashid has won the little battle that he was having with Bangladesh lynchpin Mahmudullah. The leg-spinner pushed the ball through quicker on middle, and it went on with the arm to penetrate the bat and pad and rattle the stumps. It was a smart piece of bowling from Rashid and Bangladesh have lost 5 wickets for 163 with the 35th over in process.

Earlier, Sam Curran jolted Bangladesh’s top-order once again as England gained the upper hand early in the inconsequential 3rd ODI at Chattogram.

Bangladesh lost their first ODI series at home after seven successive series triumphs, following England’s 132-run victory in Dhaka that helped them secure an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three match series. Bangladesh struggled in the chase in the second ODI as they were bowled out for 194, with only veteran Shakib Al Hasan managing to cross 50.

Since November 2014, Bangladesh have lost only two out of 15 bilateral ODI series in their own backyard, with both losses coming against England – in 2016 and in the ongoing series.
