Controversy erupted in the match between Royal Challengers Bangaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) involving Virat Kohli on Sunday (April 21) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He was angry after his dismissal off Harshit Rana‘s delivery.
In the third over of the innings, Rana delivered a low full toss which appeared to be an over-the-waist no ball. Kohli top-edged it back to the bowler, who made no mistake with the catch.
Kohli thought it was a no-ball and wasted no time taking the review. However, the result did not come in his favor as the DRS trajectory showed the ball was below the waistline.
Kohli angrily made his way back to the dugout but not before arguing with the umpires. While walking, he banged his bat on the ground and hit a dustbin as well.

Ambati Rayudu called it poor umpiring, while Irfan Pathan thinks it’s a legal delivery
Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketer-turned-commentator Ambati Rayudu on-air criticized the umpires and called the decision a “poor” one. Irfan Pathan, however, tweeted in support of the umpire, calling it a legal delivery.
It's a big decision. Virat Kohli is a big wicket, and umpires just can't turn a blind eye before making such trash decisions. Poor umpiring. Ambati Rayudu said

The match once again ended in KKR’s favor, previously winning by seven wickets in their encounter earlier this season. In today’s match, KKR posted 222/6 on the back of Phil Salt‘s 48 off 14 and Shreyas Iyer‘s 50 off 36.
RCB, in response, left no stone unturned but couldn’t clinch the victory, losing by one run. Will Jack and Rajat Patidar smashed fifty each. Kohli opened the innings and scored 18 off seven balls.
