A 33-track 'Seinfeld' soundtrack album is available for the first time

Seinfeld signed off in 1998 after an equally acclaimed and adored nine-season run, and while there won't be a reunion (much less a reboot), fans can tend to their nostalgia with a newly dropped soundtrack album.

Per Variety, a 33-track album released by WaterTower Music on all digital platforms on July 2 marks "the first time that any of the music for Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer has been available outside of its original television context."

Seinfeld composer Jonathan Wolff told the outlet the 40-minute project "was 30 years in the making" and explained how he decided from all of the music featured across 180 episodes:

"Was it the primary audio of a famous Seinfeld scene? Did it contribute in a significant way to the comedy of the scene? And upon hearing it, will it serve as an instantly identifiable signature and bring warm fuzzies to a Seinfeld fan who will remember that scene?"

The Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David creation paired Seinfeld with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards, and the series racked up 10 Primetime Emmy wins while on NBC.

Netflix closed a five-year deal with Sony Pictures Television for Seinfeld's global streaming rights in September 2019. The show left Hulu on June 23. As Vulture originally reported last month, will official begin its pact with Netflix "closer to the fall—September at the earliest."

You can listen to the full soundtrack, appropriately beginning with one of the most instantly recognizable sitcom theme songs, below.
