Anne Hathaway celebrates 20 years of 'The Princess Diaries'

Mia Thermopolis had the ultimate glow up in The Princess Diaries

Anne Hathaway still can't believe it.

"Miracles happen...," Hathaway captioned a Princess Diaries carousel posted to Instagram on Thursday (July 29). "Happy 20th birthday to #theprincessdiaries, AKA the film that launched a thousand sleep overs."

Mandy Moore got in on the nostalgia, too:

Directed by Garry Marshall and based on Meg Cabot's series of novels, the Disney classic followed otherwise average Mia (Hathaway) after her estranged grandmother, Queen Clarisse Renaldi (Julie Andrews), arrives and informs her that she is the heir to fictional Genovia.

Princess Diaries 2 followed in 2004.

Hathaway previously celebrated the 15th anniversary of The Devil Wears Prada, yet another enduring cult classic. The Oscar winner portrayed unsuspecting journalist Andy Sachs thrust into the high-fashion magazine world under the critical eye of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).
