Cher celebrated her 75th birthday by announcing forthcoming biopic

If you have never scrolled through Cher's Twitter, you are cheating yourself: the all-caps declarations, blatant honesty, the emojis!

As of Wednesday (May 19), add one more to the list.

Cher, who turns 75 years old today (May 20), announced—in all caps, of course—that Universal Pictures is in the early stages of making her biopic:

And what took so long? Let the Goddess of Pop explain:

As Cher already internet-screamed at us, Eric Roth will be writing the biopic's screenplay. Roth is about as acclaimed as they come, with the likes of Forrest Gump (1994), The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008) and A Star Is Born (2018) under his belt.

The Oscar winner is also the credited writer on Martin Scorsese's upcoming star-studded Killers of the Flower Moon.

Cher, who got so "over excited" that it may have given her a "terrible headache," dropped a Paramount Plus documentary titled Cher & The Loneliest Elephant on Earth Day (April 22). Watch the trailer below.
