Chris Hemsworth confirms 'Thor: Love and Thunder' is complete: 'That's a wrap'

All there's left to do now is watch.

Chris Hemsworth—Thor himself—posted an extremely muscular photo from the set of Thor: Love and Thunder to Instagram as confirmation that the film has completed filming in Australia:

"That’s a wrap on Thor Love and Thunder, it’s also national don’t flex day so I thought this super relaxed photo was appropriate," Hemsworth wrote in his caption. "The film is gonna be bats—t crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder!

"Thank you to all the cast and crew who made this another incredible Marvel journey. Buckle in, get ready and see ya in cinemas!!"

Hemsworth is standing next to Taika Waititi, who directed the movie, in the photo. Waititi posted the same flick to his Instagram account, and he noted that Love and Thunder "is the craziest thing I've ever done."

This marks Hemsworth's eighth film as Thor since debuting as the character in 2011's Thor. The 37-year-old Australian actor discussed what toll embodying the God of Thunder takes on his body with The Telegraph in early April (h/t Business Insider):

"There's an aesthetic that the role requires. Bodybuilding is seen as vanity, whereas if I put on a bunch of unhealthy weight, or got unhealthily skinny for a role, I'd probably be called a serious actor. ... For years I probably overtrained. People who do muscle-building often don't realize it's a sport that shouldn't be seven days a week, two hours a day. I was doing that in the previous Thors, and was coming up sorer, with less energy."

Love and Thunder is the fourth installment in the franchise—a franchise that has so far netted $1.94 billion at the global box office, per Deadline—will serve as a follow-up to 2017's Thor: Ragnarok once it hits theaters next May.

The movie also stars Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Russell Crowe, Melissa McCarthy, and more.
