Daniel Radcliffe describes 'the craziest stunt' he was allowed to do during 'Harry Potter' run

Hogwarts was the land of revolutionary visual effects, but Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire's Triwizard Tournament featured some very real acrobatics from Daniel Radcliffe.

"They let me do the craziest stunt I was ever able to do," Radcliffe, who portrayed the titular wizard for the entirety of Harry Potter's magical 10-year run, told Entertainment Tonight. "It was like a 40-foot fall down on a roof. I was on a wire, but I was properly in free fall. It was only there to catch me at the end. And I was absolutely terrified. I worked a lot with the stunt department by then, and they were like, 'You can do this. Do you want to try it?' And I said yes. But then I got up there and was absolutely terrified."

"I've realized since that that was very special circumstances in that set, and I will never be allowed to do something like that again," the 31-year-old actor added.

Goblet of Fire came out in November 2005, so Radcliffe was 16 at the time.

This November will mark 20 years since the iconic film franchise debuted with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, the first of eight film adaptations from J.K. Rowlings record-breaking novels.

"I'm in the Dominican Republic at the moment filming, and then I'm going to be busy, kind of working on bits and pieces until the end of the year," Radcliffe said regarding a potential anniversary reunion. "So yeah, I don't know. I'm sure there will be some sort of celebration but I don't know if we will be getting together or anything. I'm sorry if that's a bit of a disappointment to anyone."

Radcliffe is filming Lost City of D, which he was first linked to by Deadline in March. According to the outlet, his character will be the villain in the action-packed romantic comedy from Adam and Aaron Nee and Dana Fox. Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum will star as the plot's main characters:

"The story follows a reclusive romance novelist (Bullock) who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum) until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger, and more romantic, than any of her paperback fictions."

Brad Pitt will also have a cameo, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter in mid-April.

Lost City of D isn't expected until next year, but you can catch Radcliffe in the third season of TBS' Miracle Workers beginning Tuesday (July 13).
