David Bowie '75' limited-time pop-up experiences open in London and New York

David Bowie would have turned 75 years old on Jan. 8, 2022, and his estate is giving fans a head start on celebrating the late icon with "75" pop-up stores in London and New York that opened their doors Monday.

As teased in the below preview video shared Oct. 13, the "limited-time pop-up experiences" feature rare apparel and collectibles, small-batch vinyl and CDs as well as rare and archival behind-the-scenes videos:

The London location is 14 Heddon Street, "the same street featured on the cover of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars"—Bowie's 1972 album that introduced his now-famous alter ago—and the New York location at 150 Wooster Street is "steps away from Bowie's longtime downtown New York City neighborhood."

Bowie died Jan. 10, 2016, two days after his 69th birthday, after a battle with cancer. He had also released Blackstar on Jan. 8.

The five-time Grammy winner had a daughter, Alexandria Zahra Jones, with Iman, whom he had been married to since 1992. Bowie also shared a son, Duncan Jones, with his first wife, Angie.
