Denzel Washington doesn't watch his movies all the way through: 'I never look back'

Most people have at least one Denzel Washington film in their all-time rotation, but Washington does not watch any of his past performances.

"I never look back," the two-time Oscar winner told Extra earlier this month. "I'll watch a scene if it's on TV, but I haven't watched a film of mine from start to finish — I don't know when. [The] last film I watched from start to finish was Macbeth. You know, in preparation for talking about it. But I don't look back. I look forward."

By Macbeth, Washington meant The Tragedy of Macbeth, in which he plays Lord Macbeth opposite Frances McDormand as Lady Macbeth.

Directed by Joel Coen, the Shakespearean adaptation was released in theaters Christmas Day and will begin streaming Jan. 14, 2022, on Apple TV Plus. Watch the trailer below.
