Diane Keaton stars alongside Justin Bieber in new 'Ghost' video

Today is all about Justin Bieber.

The 27-year-old global superstar released Justice: The Complete Edition—rounding out his eighth No. 1 album with three songs, including one sweetly titled "Hailey" for his wife—and his Amazon Prime Video Original documentary Justin Bieber: Our World.

Oh, and he dropped a music video for Justice  track "Ghost," starring alongside none other than Diane Keaton:

Directed by Colin Tilley, the evocative video features Bieber in "the role of doting grandson," according to an exclusive look from Vogue on Thursday: "Following the death of his grandfather, the singer reconnects with his grandmother, going on long walks with her along Ventura Beach, updating her dating profiles, and taking her out for a night of cocktails and dancing."

Keaton, 75, told Vogue that Bieber personally called her and asked if she would be in it. "I thought the song was wonderful," the Oscar-winning actress said, later adding, "This was just sheer fun. All my life, I've been an actress and had lines, and sometimes I've gotten to loosen them up a little—but this was just completely loose and relaxed. Nobody ever [told me to do] anything, which made it so much fun."

That spirit permeates the screen.

The video begins with Bieber and Keaton at a funeral for their grandfather and husband, respectively, before it flashes forward two years. Bieber is observing how sad Keaton still is, so he buys her a new outfit and urges her to take on the town with him. They dance and close down a local bar before heading home, where Bieber playfully helps Keaton swipe through options on a dating app.

By the end, they peacefully decide to spread the ashes at the ocean while dolphins leap from the waves. A man, presumably from the app, is waiting for Keaton by the car. Bieber encourages her to move on, looks down at a photograph of his grandfather and smiles.

Of all the roles Keaton has tackled over the years, this is the one that made her wonder, "Am I dreaming???":

She had previously declared her love for Bieber while visiting The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November 2015, around the release of his fourth studio album Purpose:

"Ghost" is the latest in an impressive run of cinematic collaborations between Bieber and Tilley and the latter's Boy in the Castle production team that also includes "Holy," "Anyone," "Hold On" and "Peaches."
