Soccer often finds a way to have a crossover with the entertainment world. Many celebrities express their love for the sport, while others try a way to be involved in it. Some of them, still curious, try to learn about the game.

Adam Sandler , one of the biggest comedians in Hollywood, attended Chelsea’s recent match against Newcastle United, where they beat the Magpies 3-2. Just a few days before he was spotted playing basketball in London.

This wasn’t the first time he had visited Stamford Bridge. In 2009, Sandler visited London with a friend. His friend saw an ad for a match between Chelsea and Fulham and asked Adam Sandler if he wanted to go. The duo attended, and Sandler being curious about the sport kept on asking questions. It irked the fans, who ordered him to shut up.

I want to learn more and more. I kept asking questions, 'How many teams are in the League?', 'How many games?' Adam Sandler told a local radio station after the game in 2009

Adam Sandler also spoke about how no one recognised him, but he still stuck out like a sore thumb. He said he was the only person in the crowd wearing a baseball cap and not singing along with the fans.

Adam Sandler aside, Todd Boehly travels to Saudi Arabia to meet former Chelsea director

Ever since taking over Chelsea, Todd Boehly has spent over a billion pounds but the team has regressed. With the chances of the club facing sanctions for financial fair play, thanks to them announcing losses of £90 million in the previous season, they need to offload players.

For this very reason, Boehly traveled to Saudi Arabia, hoping the Saudi Pro League could be interested in some of their players. He met Michael Emenalo, who was the former Chelsea director but now is the director of the league.

The top two players they want to offload are Romelu Lukaku and Kepa Arrizabalaga. After failing to perform in his first season, the Belgian was sent on loans to Inter Milan and Roma. Although Kepa wants to stay in London, he is no longer in contention to be the club’s no. 1 keeper. Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic are currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

The club also looks to offload academy graduates Conor Gallagher, Armando Broja and Trevor Chalobah. Marc Cucurella could also soon leave the club.
