John Legend surprises Boston street performer as she covers 'All of Me'

Radha Rao has covered John Legend's 2013 No. 1 hit "All of Me" countless times at Boston's Faneuil Hall Marketplace, but until Sunday, Legend had never been in the audience.

The street performer shared clips of her unexpected moment with the 12-time Grammy winner.

"I started singing the song and I was enjoying myself, and I see this man wearing a trench coat and a mask and I think, 'That looks a lot like John Legend—why would he be in Boston?'" Rao told NBC News. "When he took off his mask, I was shocked."

She shared that Legend thanked her for singing his song, and she added: "He was so incredibly humble and encouraging to local artists. I look up to him immensely, and I love that he plays acoustic instruments like I do."

Legend serves as a coach alongside Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande and Blake Shelton on NBC's "The Voice." The singing competition series is airing its 21st season every Monday and Tuesday beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET.
