Kacey Musgraves re-creates 'Forrest Gump' scene for 'Saturday Night Live' performance
Kacey Musgraves made a statement during the 47th season premiere of Saturday Night Live.
To perform "justified," the six-time Grammy winner wore cowboy boots and her guitar strapped across her chest—and seemingly nothing else:
"She was nude," an unnamed publicist for Musgraves told Variety on Monday. "Precautions were taken, and this was the first time it's happened on the show."
A bold move without any further explanation, but it was made ten times cooler when Musgraves tweeted this photo:
For those who don't know, that is a still from the scene in Forrest Gump where Jenny (Robin Wright) serenades a bar with Bob Dylan's "Blowin' in the Wind" while nude.
"justified" was the second single released from Musgraves' fourth solo studio album star-crossed, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. Watch the 33-year-old's other SNL performance below.
