Kanye West is reportedly 'not giving up without a fight' amid Kim Kardashian's new divorce filings

Kim Kardashian filed documents last Friday (Dec. 10) to be declared a legally single woman, as first reported by TMZ and "asked to have child custody and property matters be separate from her marital status," per People, in her ongoing divorce from Kanye West.

In the documents obtained by People, Kardashian wrote that West "has been non-responsive" in her efforts to finalize their divorce and emphasized that their "marriage has irremediably broken down."

"There is no question that the marriage of the parties is no longer viable," the filing reads, in part. "[Kardashian] has no desire to reconcile with [West] and wants their marriage terminated. Irreconcilable differences have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, and there is no possibility of saving the marriage through counseling or other means. The continued maintenance of technical marital status between [West] and [Kardashian] serves no useful purpose, and there is no reason to maintain the legal relationship."

Well, according to People (again) on Tuesday (Dec. 14), West will not be deterred.

"He's not giving up without a fight," an anonymous source described as "close to the rapper" told the outlet. "Kim is the mother of his children, and he's not going to just let that go. No matter if they're husband and wife, they'll always support each other. Her recent filing or any filing for that matter doesn't mean he's going to stop fighting to win her back."

The purported insider added: "Despite the recent filing by Kim, Kanye hasn't lost hope to be with Kim again. As he goes out more and he's holding events and concerts, he's always inviting Kim and will continue to do so. His sole priority is making sure she's taken care of and treated like a queen, whether they're married or not. That will always be a priority and that will never change."

Most recently, last Thursday night (Dec. 9), the 22-time Grammy winner publicly begged Kardashian to come back to him during his joint "Free Larry Hoover" benefit concert with Drake:

Kardashian and West share four children—daughters North, 8, and Chicago, 3½, and sons Saint, 6, and Psalm, 2½.

Kardashian filed for divorce in February and has been romantically linked to Pete Davidson since October.
