Kelly Clarkson announces Christmas special: ‘I’m inviting some special guests to join me’

Kelly Clarkson has become a bright spot in millions of people's daily routines as the host of her daytime eponymous talk show and one of the coaches on NBC's "The Voice."

The three-time Grammy winner is taking it up a notch with "Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around."

According to People, the broadcast will also include Clarkson surprising "everyday heroes" with "life-changing" gifts.

"People celebrate the holidays in different ways and that is the inspiration behind the original songs and the curated classics that are featured in this special," Clarkson, 39, said in a statement. "No matter what your heart is feeling this holiday season, I hope that this hour brings you joy and happiness exactly where you are."

Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around will begin airing on NBC at 10:00 p.m. EST on Dec. 1.

The special is titled after Clarkson's new album, "When Christmas Comes Around...," that arrived Oct. 15 and features Ariana Grande, Brett Eldredge and Chris Stapleton.
