Kevin Jonas credits Dr. Phil with helping his golf game

Apparently, being in a globally famous and successful boy band isn't enough for Nick Jonas.

He wants to be a PGA-level golfer, too.

"I've really put the effort in to be a better golfer," the 33-year-old said on The Late Late Show with James Corden, where he was visiting alongside Nick and Joe. "I even put, like, a golf in ... my garage for a time because I wanted to play through the winter in New Jersey."

The eldest Jonas added: "I got so upset. I literally—I punched the ground. I got so infuriated because I put all this hard work. ... After that moment, I realized—Dr. Phil gave a really good friend of ours—it's his son, Jordan McGraw—this piece of advice: 'You're not good enough to be this mad.' And honestly, that is truly the best advice you can give to any golfer."

Luckily, all three Jonas Brothers are good enough musically to tour the country again this summer and fall:

Elsewhere in the 10-minute Late Late Show segment, Nick described recently cracking his ribs while Joe admitted to a slight obsession with prank phone calls.
