Mariah Carey declares it 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' season

Mariah Carey was over Halloween just as soon as the clock struck midnight on Nov. 1.

The chart-topping songstress posted a spooky-turned-festive video to Instagram, officially declaring it time for "All I Want For Christmas Is You":

Carey smashes the pumpkin with "NOT" carved into it with a candy cane, leaving the two pumpkins glowing "IT'S TIME" perfectly intact. Wearing a glittery red dress, she throws glitter into the air and gets out her Christmas decorations. There is one disclaimer: "IT'S TIME!!! To smash that pumpkin and treat it as pie... Cause we still gotta get through Thanksgiving!!!"

People apparently have no regard for Thanksgiving, as "All I Want for Christmas" began charting yet again on Sunday:

Carey's definitive holiday track was released 27 years ago, and it's one of 19 Carey songs to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100—the second-most of any artist behind the Beatles' 20 No. 1s in the chart's history.
