Michael B. Jordan sadly confirms to Ellen that he will not name a future child Michael C. Jordan
Michael B. Jordan is making the rounds lately in support of Tom Clancy's Without Remorse, and his latest stop was The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday afternoon.
The 12-minute conversation covered a lot of ground, including what he might name his children in the future.
"Your dad's name was Michael A. Jordan," DeGeneres said. "You're Michael B. Jordan, so then, your son will be Michael C. Jordan?"
"I am breaking that cycle right there," the 34-year-old actor said. "It's too much. It's like, the pressure I had to live up to my dad's name, and I'm not gonna put that on my kid. I'm gonna give him his own identity."
Jordan is currently dating Lori Harvey, and the couple have gotten very serious about each other since confirming their relationship publicly in January. Lori's also-famous father, Steve Harvey, addressed their romance during his stop with The Ellen DeGeneres Show in late March:
While kids don't seem to be in the near future for Jordan, he has plenty on his plate. The Black Panther star told DeGeneres that he is about to start filming Creed 3, which will also mark his directorial debut.
"I'm excited," he said. "I'm not really nervous about it. It's a character that I know. It's a world that I know. It's the first time I'm playing a character three times. And it's a story—I've been daydreaming about it for such a long time, since the first Creed, seeing what's been in my head on the page now and actually bringing everything together, it's, like, a pretty cool feeling."
