Offset to judge and produce upcoming HBO Max streetwear competition show

Offset has generated a fair amount of hype as a member of Migos, so this shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

As Deadline's Peter White reported Monday, HBO Max has ordered an eight-part streetwear competition series titled The Hype featuring Offset as a judge (known as "co-signers") and producer. Emmy- and Oscar-winning studio Scout Productions, also behind Netflix's Queer Eye, is footing the project.

"I feel like the show Hype was created with creatives like myself in mind," Offset said, per White. "I’m happy to not only be a co-signer for the show but a producer. We are giving opportunities to the culture."

This isn't the first time Offset has branched outside of music. It was announced in November that the 29-year-old will make his feature acting debut in American Sole, a film starring Pete Davidson and O'Shea Jackson Jr. trying to absolve college debt through the sneaker resale market.

Migos' fourth studio album Culture III is expected to drop anytime now as the highly anticipated final installment in the hip-hop trio's Culture album series.
