Primetime unscripted show 'Judge Steve Harvey' announced by ABC

Steve Harvey has yet another gig.

The 64-year-old actor, comedian and host will front a new primetime unscripted series using the working title Judge Steve Harvey, as revealed by ABC at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour and relayed by Entertainment Weekly.

"The newly-minted TV judge will adjudicate conflicts—big and small—across the series, which has been greenlit for 10 episodes," EW explained. "Harvey is expected to employ common sense, paired with his own life experiences as he decides cases throughout the hour-long program. Casting is currently underway, with the show set to premiere in 2022."

Harvey is perhaps most widely known now as the host of Family Feud, a position he has held since 2010. He is the longest-standing host in the game show's storied history since debuting in 1976.

Steve, his eponymous daytime talk show, was canceled by NBC in 2019. It began Steve Harvey in 2012 before undergoing a name and format change in 2017.
