Taylor Swift announces which of her re-recorded albums will drop next
Swifties have been demanding a re-recorded version of 1989, but they'll have to wait.
Taylor Swift announced that "the next album I'll be releasing is my version of Red" in a lengthy note posted Friday afternoon (June 18):
The prolific singer-songwriter also changed her Instagram and Twitter bios to say, "Happy, free, confused and lonely at the same time," which every true fan knows is from the pre-chorus of Red track "22."
Swift first dropped Fearless (Taylor's Swift) on April 9 as her first step toward reclaiming her music after the masters to her catalog were controversially sold last year.
As for new music, the 31-year-old put out three records in an 16-month span from August 2019 to last December: Lover, Folklore and Evermore. All three hit No. 1 on the charts, and Folklore claimed album of the year at March's 63rd Grammy Awards.
