This NFL season has seen Taylor Swift, a superstar in the world of music with a massive fanbase, become one of the league’s most famous fans. However, she didn’t come to the sport alone, with many of her fans coming along with her to the sport.

In fact, according to the Apex Marketing Group, Swift has added $331 million in value to the NFL. On top of that, viewership among teenage girls aged 12 to 17 years, has been elevated by as much as 53%. That has pushed NFL viewership up by more than 7% overall in this most recent season from last.

Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic spoke to CBS, explaining some of the phenomenon that is Taylor Swift fans and the NFL.

“I have cousins who couldn’t name the team in their own city, and now they can name off half the starting quarterbacks in the NFL,” Auerbach said. “They’re not just interested. They’ve gone down the rabbit holes too because that’s part of being a Taylor Swift fan is that you’re going to become obsessed with it. So, I think that they’ve transferred that into football.”

With the Super Bowl, there are going to be numerous young Taylor Swift fans watching the NFL’s premier event for the first time, looking to see the star but also with an appreciation for the game that many never had before.

LendingTree analyst Matt Schulz explained that there is a real Taylor Swift effect and it can be seen in everything that she does, with as many as 40% of gen-z saying that they’ve spent money on football because of Swift’s influence.

“The fact she’s having this much of an influence is remarkable, but people shouldn’t be surprised because we have seen it in practically everything she’s touched,” Schulz said

To an extent, this relationship even goes both ways, with viewership of the Grammys up 86% from last year in Kansas City.

Las Vegas chapel offers Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce free wedding service during Super Bowl weekend

This year’s Super Bowl is taking place in Las Vegas and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the city has become a unique backdrop for the game. One of those things that has added to the background is the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

With that relationship in mind, the Little White Wedding Chapel offered the couple a free wedding, Elvis impersonator included, during Super Bowl weekend.

“Taylor and Travis – you two have enough on your plate so let us take care of you,” the Little White Wedding Chapel said. “Taylor just bring your lucky, and Fabulous Grammys gown and we can handle the rest! We have our florist on standby for the bouquet of your dreams, our ministers and Elvis are ready too. Whatever you want, our chapel is ready to take care of you!!”

It’s an offer that was extended to all players. However, as of now, nobody seems like they’re taking up the Little White Wedding Chapel on the offer.
