M. Night Shyamalan is bringing us back into his world this summer with his new film Trap, starring Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue and Saleka Shyamalan.

Following a father and a daughter at a concert for pop sensation Lady Raven, Trap takes a sinister turn when Hartnett, as the father, realizes something dark and sinister is occurring.

Trap was filmed last year during the SAG-AFTRA strike on an interim agreement from the union due to Shyamalan funding and producing the film himself.

Warner Bros dropped the first trailer for the upcoming psychological thriller, which does the classic Shyamalan thing of lulling us into a sense of security before throwing us a huge plot twist.

The trailer kicks off feeling like your standard drama, with Hartnett and Donoghue playing the wholesome father/daughter duo heading to a concert.

But when the father heads for a bathroom break, he quickly realizes this isn't like any other concert.

It's hard to know what to expect from Shyamalan's Trap as you leave the trailer with more questions than answers, but all will be revealed when the film hits theaters on August 9.
