Watch 'SNL' cast member Melissa Villaseñor nail her Kristen Wiig impression

Maya Rudolph will forever be Queen of Impressions and Impersonations, but Melissa Villaseñor is coming for the crown.

The 33-year-old Saturday Night Live cast member joined Late Night with Seth Meyers to recount her rise in comedy and run through her favorite impressions, including Dolly Parton, Natalie Portman and Owen Wilson. But it was Villaseñor's take on SNL royalty Kristen Wiig that particularly took Meyers by surprise.

"Whoa!" Meyers said, laughing and rolling his chair backward.

"I think I auditioned with a silly bit of Kristen Wiig about to go skydiving," Villaseñor explained.

"Wow," Meyers later added in reaction to the impression. "That one is—I, like, want to call Kristen and make sure she still has her soul."

Meyers's 13 seasons (2001-14) was, at one point, SNL's second-longest tenure by a cast member, and Wiig was a cast member from 2005-12.
