‘Jeopardy!’ Fans React to Sassy Items Ken Jennings Keeps in His Bathroom

What does a Jeopardy! host keep in his bathroom? Sassy Ken Jennings revealed two odds items that had fans talking. And one in particular got everyone asking questions.

“I love that I can subscribe to The Onion and @theonion will just send a print copy to my house, and I can stick it in the bathroom every month with the Braille Playboys from 1995. Do you subscribe to The Onion? You could!” he captioned the post on May 21.

While fans chuckled that Jennings has a subscription to satirical magazine The Onion, many were super curious to know about his braille editions of Playboy magazine, which is of course famous for publishing nude photos of women, as well as various articles on all and sundry.

“Wait – Braille Playboys?!” asked one stunned fan on social media.

“Uhhhh, braille what now?” pondered another.

“Truly being read for the articles, nice!!,” wrote a third.

Braille Playboy is an edition that is published for blind and visually impaired readers, which was created in 1970. It was the first magazine to be published in Braille, according to Idee Fixe.

It only included text in Braille without the pictures, according to Archive.org. This edition is no longer published, but can be bought online secondhand.

Fans reacted to the pieces of media that were placed in a rack next to Jennings’ toilet paper holder. The Onion headline said “U.S. Instates Military Wife Draft” while the covers of the Playboys were browning.

“I had no idea you could still get a print version,” a follower commented.

“Mine came in the mail yesterday,” another fan responded..

“Physical Onion rocks,” chimed in someone else.

You are the coolest man alive,” added another.

“You’re my favorite person,” one last fan said. Many other fans just left laughing emojis.

Jennings has published numerous books, including children’s series, quiz books, and more, but obviously doesn’t think they are bathroom material. It is not clear why Jennings has the Braille versions of Playboy, as no one in his house is known to be visually impaired.
