Selena Gomez 'cried like a little baby' after earning first-ever Grammy nod

Selena Gomez has been in the entertainment business since her adorable Barney & Friends days from 2002-04, and after traversing through Disney to become a star actress and singer-songwriter, the 29-year-old is finally a Grammy nominee.

This is how she reacted:

Gomez is nominated in the best Latin pop album category for Revelación, her first all-Spanish project and fourth EP overall, which arrived in March. She has also released three full-length albums—most recently Rare in January 2020.

"I have been talking about doing an all-Spanish project for the last 10 years and for one reason or another, it didn't come together," Gomez told GRAMMY.com around Revelación's release in March. "I am thankful I waited though because it would have been a completely different project 10 years ago. Some of the music I worked on the last couple of years kind of naturally led to the timing feeling right."

One of those songs was DJ Snake's 2018 smash single "Taki Taki" featuring Gomez, Cardi B and Ozuna, which peaked at No. 11 on Billboard's Hot 100:
