Honda is a well-known name in the world of F1. The fans of the sport are aware of what the Japanese brand has achieved and ahead of their 2026 return with Aston Martin, it has come to light that Honda has set up a new base in the United Kingdom.

In 2026 the new regulations are going to kick in and Honda is fully determined to make an instant impact. The brand was the works supplier when the reigning world champion, Max Verstappen secured his maiden world championship in 2021.

As per racingnews365, the new base of Honda is set to be located in Bracknell, which is south of Aston Martin’s hub in Silverstone. Everyone on the Japanese brand is really looking forward to marking their return to F1 in a grand fashion.

Honda has always been a trusted engine supplier in the sport over the years and this is one of the reasons why the Fernando Alonso-led Aston Martin F1 team decided to join hands with them. The clear intention behind the move is to challenge for the world championship from 2026 onwards.

Honda’s take on its plan for the new UK base

While the motorsports world is buzzing with Honda setting up a base in the UK ahead of 2026, the brand itself has taken the time to shed light on its plans for the new base. The facility in Bracknell will be heavily involved with the F1 operations in 2026.

Honda plans on delivering the best results for Aston Martin in their new partnership.

This new company has been founded to primarily perform post-race maintenance and preparation tasks on the Honda built F1 power units (PUs), whilst also operating as a logistics operation for the European region. The establishment of HRC UK will further enhance the effectiveness of Honda’s PU operations, in support of the partnership with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. Honda’s official statement

The Aston Martin F1 team is currently a midfield runner at the pinnacle of motor racing. But going forward, it wants to keep improving and hopefully, challenge for world championships a few years down the line. Keeping everything in view, several eyes will be on the Honda-backed Aston Martin challenger when 2026 comes around.
