Lando Norris , the McLaren F1 driver, has become the talk of the town since winning his maiden F1 Grand Prix. Several esteemed personalities have applauded him but amidst the outside appreciation, Red Bulls Max Verstappen has also showered praise on the young Brit.

Lando Norris and Max Verstappen were the ones involved in an intense battle for the win at the Miami GP. While the latter was surprisingly not able to overtake Norris, he did not let it stop him from praising the Brit on his sensational performance.

The 24-year-old won the Miami GP by a margin of over seven seconds on Verstappen.

I'm very happy for Lando, it's been a long time coming, and it's not gonna be his last one. Max Verstappen said in his post race interview

Lando Norris has been competing in F1 since 2019. After fighting up and down the grid for the last few years, the recent Grand Prix win is well-deserved for him. Moreover, even Verstappen via his interview acknowledged the time and patience Norris had to show in order to secure his maiden win.

Max Verstappen is content with his surprising P2 finish in Miami

While Max Verstappen has applauded Lando Norris on securing his first Grand Prix win, during the post-race interview, he also took the time to talk about his Miami outing. Verstappen feels second place is not too bad a result considering how the 57-lap race panned out.

The 26-year-old is still leading the 2024 Driver’s Championship by a comfortable margin.

You win, you lose, we are all used to that in racing. Today was just tricky, even on the mediums we weren't pulling away. Once they switched onto the hard tyre, they were flying. If a bad day is P2, I take it. Max Verstappen said in the same interview

The Dutchman has indicated that he is not too disappointed with his second-place finish at the 2024 Miami Grand Prix. He is well aware of the might of Red Bulls RB20 and is thus, not too fussed regarding the recent event. The ongoing campaign still has 18 events remaining on the calendar.
