Alabama new DL target to announce commitment soon

Brian Harris is expected to announce a commitment on May 23.

Harris is a product of Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Florida. He is reportedly considering Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State and South Carolina ahead of his decision.

The Crimson Tide offered Harris last month, and he expressed a high level of respect for the program.

“Alabama is one of the most respected programs in college football, historic success, elite player development and a serious NFL pipeline,” Harris said. “They’re known for their toughness, attention to detail, and high-level competition every day in practice. With Coach Roach leading the D-line and the tradition they’ve built, it’s definitely a place built for guys who want to be great.”

The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder is comfortable operating from different spots along the defensive front with his versatility. He possesses a quick twitch and displays active hands en route to causing disruption in the backfield.
