It is a known fact that cricket is a religion in India. Fans across the nation love the sport and treat their favorite athletes like gods. Many of these cricketers are also the most popular people in the nation, with many being as famous as movie stars and politicians

Jos Buttler, who plays for Rajasthan Royals, praised the stardom MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli have. In an interview with FanCode, the star claimed fans acted like “10-year-olds at a Taylor Swift concert” when they see the duo.

(There’s) that sort of fantasy around the IPL and the way the fans are is, like I say, unmatched. There’s guys like Dhoni and Kohli, when these guys walk on the field, it is probably like 10-year-olds at a Taylor Swift concert. It’s unbelievable, the noise that people create just to see them, you know? They are not even playing, they’re just walking out onto the field. Jos Buttler to FanCode

Dhoni and Kohli will be taking the field during the IPL opener between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on the 22nd of March

Jos Buttler claims kids don’t watch Test cricket on Tik Tok

Recently Jos Buttler collaborated with Major League Baseball star, Chase Utley. The two discussed the similarity of the sports and Buttler tried his hand at the sport. In the event, the England captain tried explaining the multiple formats of the sport. While explaining Tests, he claimed no kids are watching the format.

So people who love all the history and records [in Test cricket] – I’ll tell you what the kids on TikTok and Instagram aren’t watching Test cricket. Jos Buttler said

For the past few years, many people have claimed the longest and oldest format of the sport was dying. The reason was that many fans preferred the fast-paced T20s instead of the 5-day long Test cricket.
