The No. 15 Louisville women’s basketball team (14-2, 3-0 ACC) is set to take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-12, 0-4 ACC) in a Sunday afternoon matchup at the KFC Yum! Center. After a successful road win against the Pitt Panthers, the Cardinals are looking to extend their undefeated conference record and perfect home record this season.

In their previous game, Louisville held the Panthers to just 44 points, marking the second consecutive game in which they kept their opponent below 50 points. The Cardinals’ strong defensive efforts have been paying off, as they have held their opponents to less than 60 points in three of their last four games. Their road win against Pitt was their second conference victory on the road after snapping Miami’s 17-game home winning streak on New Year’s Eve.

Leading the way for Louisville against Pitt was Sydney Taylor, who scored 13 points and hit three three-pointers. Olivia Cochran continued her impressive scoring streak with 10 points, shooting over 50 percent from the field for the eighth straight game. Kiki Jefferson also contributed 10 points, maintaining her consistent performance on the offensive end.

Sunday’s game between Louisville and Wake Forest will be aired nationally on the ACC Network at 2 p.m. ET. The Cardinals hold a 10-1 series lead over the Demon Deacons, with Louisville winning their previous meeting last year by a score of 74-48. Wake Forest comes into the game with a 4-12 overall record and an 0-4 record in ACC play.

Louisville will look to capitalize on their home court advantage, where they have been unbeatable this season. With a well-rounded team and strong defensive play, the Cardinals are confident heading into the matchup.
