Arizona State athletics has announced Rachael Bacchus as the on-campus general manager of the university’s NIL program.

Bacchus, a former ASU alum, brings with her a wealth of experience in the sports industry, having previously worked with student-athletes from various universities, including Michigan State, Nova Southeastern, Florida International, Grand Valley State, and California State.

In her new role, Bacchus will oversee the university’s NIL program, which aims to improve the academic and athletic experiences of student-athletes. She will also be responsible for developing and executing initiatives that will help student-athletes maximize their earning potential through the new name, image and likeness legislation.

“We are thrilled to have Rachael as the first full-time, on-campus GM of ASU’s name, image and likeness program. With her extensive experience in overseeing NIL initiatives and collective programming, she is well-positioned to help navigate NIL opportunities for Sun Devil student-athletes, coaches, and staff,” said Brittney Whiteside, Altius Sports Partners VP of collegiate partnerships.

Bacchus’ experience and expertise will help to ensure that student-athletes at Arizona State are well-prepared to succeed in their athletic and academic pursuits while maximizing their potential through the new NIL legislation.

“I am honored to join Arizona State’s athletics department as the on-campus GM for their NIL program. I look forward to this dynamic collaboration leading the implementation of innovative and trailblazing athlete-focused NIL education and supporting ASU athletes, coaches, staff, and partners in maximizing their opportunities for long-term success,” Bacchus said in a statement.
