Arsenal chief exec Vinai Venkatesham says they're massive spending is proof owner Stan Kroenke is serious about winning the Premier League title.

Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz have joined so far this summer for a total of 210m.

Venkatesham told Bloomberg: "We had (last season) what we considered was a successful season. We have one of the youngest squads in the Premier League, so this season they are going to be another year more experienced.

"And this summer we have supplemented that fantastic squad with three new signings the three positions we wanted to strengthen, the three players we wanted.

"We were delighted to get them right at the start of the window so we have them here with us on tour in the US. It was a heavy significant investment and that investment really shows the ambition of our ownership group.

"They have had an enormous success with their franchises in the US in recent years, winning the Super Bowl, Stanley Cup and the NBA Championship. They have really supported us this window, so we will be ready for the fight this season."
