Ismael Bennacer was the big hero for AC Milan against Bologna yesterday as he broke their second-half deadlock with an absolute stunner. In addition to that, he played very well and was a key player in midfield.

The Algerian doesn’t score often, in fact, this was only his second goal in Serie A. The first also came against Bologna, back in the summer of 2020, but the one he scored last night was certainly more beautiful.

Not surprisingly, Bennacer was voted as the MOTM by the fans and he was also praised by all of the media outlets. In our ratings, he got a 7/10 with the following motivation: “He was decisive for Milan this evening as he stepped up with an absolute rocket. As always, he also covered a lot of ground and he got the assist for Ibrahimovic’s goal. You can’t ask much more from him”.

Many other media outlets gave Bennacer the same rating, including Gazzetta Dello Sport, Tuttosport, Corriere Della Sera, Corriere Dello Sport and MilanNews. In other words, they all agreed that the midfielder was the best on the pitch and it’s surely a big confidence boost for the former Empoli man.
