Chelsea are in the hunt to sign a new striker this summer, that fact is very clear.

The Blues have been linked with a number of big names over the last few months as they look to bring in a natural goal scorer.

With Olivier Giroud departed, and questions over the future of Tammy Abraham, Chelsea want to sign a natural number 9 to come in and lead the line.

With the big name striker pursuits not really moving as things stand, it appears we see more and more alternative options pop up linked with Chelsea on a daily basis, and Italian reports have thrown another one in the mix.

According to Sport Italia, as cited by The Daily Mail, Chelsea have enquired about signing Sassuolo striker, Domenico Berardi.

Berardi is of course a European champion, helping Italy beat England on penalties, and he had a good tournament.

Whether he is the guy to lead Chelsea’s line though, I’m not so sure!
