The finals of the football season has been set. Following their triumph against the Baltimore Ravens, the Kansas City Chiefs are heading into another Super Bowl. Kansas City Royals‘ first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino has now applauded the newly crowned AFC Champions.

The first baseman appeared on Kansas City 610 Sports’ “Cody and Gold” and praised the team for their performances this season. He would claim that the team are now in their ‘villain era‘.

While taking a page out of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, Pasquantino took reference of character Harvey Dent’s words on how the Chiefs have now lived long enough to become the villains of the NFL.

It’s been great because at first, six years ago, it was finally someone is going to take down the Patriots, let’s go Chiefs, the whole country. Now it’s the Batman thing, you live long enough to become the villain. The Chiefs are in their villain era, and it’s fun to watch. Vinnie Pasquantino on Kansas City Chiefs as per Fox News.

The pairing of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce has worked wonders for the Chiefs. They will now be looking to go repeat as champions as they face the San Francisco 49ers and their star man Brock Purdy in the Super Bowl LVIII from Las Vegas on February 11.

Vinnie Pasquantino hoping to bounce back in 2024 MLB season

As the preparations for the 2024 season continues, several players are hoping to bounce back from their earlier disappointments. Kansas City Royals’ Vinnie Pasquantino is one of them.

The 26-year-old is regarded as one of the top players for the Royals. The 2023 season turned out to be a horrific one for him. Pasquantino suffered a shoulder injury which required surgery. This brought an premature end to his season.

With the spring training around the corner, the American international is pumped up for the 2024 season. During the Winter Meetings, he opened up about he does not want to go through the 2023 season again and hoped to stayed fit this year. He was recently spotted practicing on his swing techniques in the batting cage, showcasing positive signs about his recovery.

I know the guys are fired up, ready to get out to Spring [Training]. I’m probably more fired up than most because it’s been so long. Vinnie Pasquantino on the upcoming season as per MLB.com.

In the 61 games he appeared in last season, Pasquantino managed to bat with an average of .247 along with nine home runs and 26 RBIs. This season he would be looking to drastically improve this number and become an important part of the team.

The Royals had a disappointing campaign last time out and finished dead last in their division table with a 56-106 record. Only time will tell how much impact will Pasquantino have on his return to the starting lineup and how much will it affect the team’s performance.
