The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are set to square off at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Chiefs didn't really have any concerns or questions about their starters coming into the game. The Chargers did have one big player listed as questionable after suffering an ankle injury during the course of the practice week.

Here's a quick breakdown of the inactive players for this afternoon's game.

Chiefs:

  • WR Justin Watson
  • DT Neil Farrell Jr.
  • DE BJ Thompson
  • OL Mike Caliendo
  • DL Malik Herring

Chargers:

  • S Alohi Gilman
  • DB Mark Webb Jr.
  • DB Deane Leonard
  • RB Elijah Dotson
  • OL Zack Bailey
  • TE Tre' McKitty
  • DL Chris Hinton

Observations:

Both Charles Omenihu and Mecole Hardman are active and set to make the 2023 Chiefs debuts on Sunday afternoon.

With Omenihu back in the fold, Malik Herring is the player who gets to sit this week. DT Matt Dickerson is active.

CB Jaylen Watson (thigh, questionable) is active for Week 7.

Derwin James is active, but I'm not sure it much matters for Travis Kelce. He has 28 receptions for 461 yards and five touchdowns in his last four games against the Chargers. James was active in each of those games.
